Stay connected with your colleagues around the globe and join us for this week's IAMSE Cafe round table discussion. Join our moderator, Kelly Quesnelle from Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine as she welcomes back Jon Wisco as well as Richard Gonzalez and Lane Fortney.

Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 10AM EDT  – Evolving Anatomical Education during the COVID pandemic: What will this mean for the future of anatomy teaching? We welcome Jon Wisco from Boston University School of Medicine as well as Richard Gonzalez and Lane Fortney from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Topics for discussion will include:
  • Specific modalities for teaching gross anatomy virtually during the shift to emergency remote teaching
  • Providing a foundation/guide to build into the future
  • Promoting a philosophy, preserving the tacit lessons of anatomical education and taking a broader view to capture these lessons with different modalities: have perceptions on this changed during the pandemic?
  • Bridging the gap (dissection-based to partial or no dissection-based anatomy) forwarding the experiential learning through subject matter experts: how is this achieved virtually during the pandemic?

To join the meeting please click here. The meeting password is IAMSECafe or, if you are calling in from a phone, the numeric password is 778130.

We look forward to seeing you this week!
